[so cheap, so easy]: Clipboard Makeovers

Let me introduce you to two of my favorite friends: Mod Podge and scrapbook paper. I have done so many projects with the two of these things. Really, the possibilities are endless AND cheap AND easy.

I came across this fabulous idea by Martha (Martha Stewart, that is). I haven't done it myself, because if you remember, I don't have an office. But, all it takes is some clipboards (you can pick these up for under $2.00), scrapbook paper of your choice, and Mod Podge.

Simply measure your paper and stick it onto the clipboards. I like to Mod Podge the surface, then stick the paper on, getting rid of any bubbles. After it dries, I add a second coat of Mod Podge. This way, the paper doesn't get too soggy, and you get less bubbles. Hang up your beautiful creations, and wa-la, style and function! Have a great weekend!

  1. I suggest giving each child and parent their own clipboard. You can hang it on the wall and when you see a piece of mail, homework, artwork, etc. simply attach it to the corresponding clipboard. It's a great way to organize that daily paper clutter.

  2. I love the tucked away look of this office - is it in a mud room or something? It reminds me of how Steven King got his start writing.... great idea. I'll definitely try it... and the idea for children is great, too....
