Gallery Walls: Fill in the Blank

Using lots of individual pictures to create a gallery is easy to do, and it makes a big statement. Just fill in the blanks...think of it like a puzzle. Decide how big you want the gallery to be, tape it out on the floor, and arrange your pictures within the rectangle or square until you find a way to make them fit. Unfortunately (for the hubs), I'm not one to shy away from an extra hole or two (or three) in the wall. However, the best method is to trace your frames on paper, place the templates on the wall with painter's tape, then hang the pictures. This way, you can move things around or even leave it up on the wall until you're ready to commit.

  1. Hey Jamie. Love the blog. Ryan and I want to put in a fireplace. What's the rage? I'm trying to decide-- granite, slate, tile... Painted wood (what color) or stained... Ideas?
