Four Poster Beds X Two (Minus One)
Sooo, I think I may have a slight obsession with four poster beds. You're just realizing this, you say? Yes. Yes I am. This weekend, West Elm had 30% off rugs, so I knew I had to snag the rug for Stella's next bedroom (found here). It was like $100 off, so when I say had to, I mean it. Anyway, when I was trying to figure out what size to get, I had to think of which bed or beds she would have in said room. You know I LOVE two four poster beds (and one one poster bed, for that matter), but we really don't need a house with an excessive amount of four poster beds. So, instead, I think we will move our bed into Stella's room, and we will get a four poster bed--one that is large enough that Husband doesn't blow in my face when we are both facing the same direction. (You know what I'm talking about.) Are you wondering if we're moving into a new house with all this furniture talk and planning? The answer is no, we're not, but that would be pretty awesome, wouldn't it?! I just like to plan for my next, (as of now, imaginary) house. And, let's be honest, it's good to prepared. With rugs. Lots and lots of rugs.

HAHA! You are hilarious! I do the same sort of "planning" but for the different stages of the this house.... when the kids no longer need a playroom. When they will be staying in their rooms more... Yes always good to be prepared!
ReplyDeleteI do that too sometimes Jamie! Go for it!
ReplyDeleteI often drive the Husband nuts with my "plans". Right now I've got plans for two very different home additions - neither of which is likely to happen. But it's so much fun to dream, isn't it? I never thought that two four posters would work in a room...but these pictures just go to show how possible it really is!
ReplyDeleteI think that's why we are all kindred spirits in the design blog world, we all plan and redecorate our homes a million times over. I also drive my husband nuts, and now that he is retired he is all up in my decor business with big opinions that don't match mine! I love the last picture, but alas, too many 'posters' I can see that. Love your rug you got! xo Nancy
ReplyDeletethere is something sooo luxurious about four poster beds! fit for a queen :)

I totally get what you meant by your husband blowing in your face when you’re facing each other sleeping. Hahaha! I think it’s a great idea that you’re having a four poster bed for your room. That would be lovely with the right design and size that would complement the room and the interior design. :D
