So let's talk Pinterest for a bit, mmmkay? I love it, aaaannnnd I hate it. I love the beautiful spaces, the great diy projects, the fashion, the humor, the inspiration...ahhh... pin, pin, pin. But the recipes? Yeah, I have about a one out of five success rate. One. Out. Of. Five. That's twenty percent, people. I don't do twenty percents, because, well, that's a big, fat fail. I mean, really, do you think people are pinning their own things with tags like, "this is THE best, party in your mouth, want to sell your first born child for it chicken?" Do you think they then sit back and evil laugh at all the gullible pinners (like myself), who not only believe it, but then pin in and make it? Conspiracy, I tell you. Conspiracy. BUT on a less crazy, less ranting, more pleasant note, are you dying over this nursery that I came across on, you guessed it, Pinterest? It's amazing. Great nursery!! I have a love/hate/love relationship with Pinterest! but mostly LOVE.. but I hear ya on the recipes! You crack me up with your thoughts. I have had quite as bad of an experience.. but YES some of mine have come out, and I'm like this is not how theirs looks AT ALL. and the taste is less than something to be bragged about. Who knows? but I figured I'd let you know you aren't Alone!! :) ~Bre
ReplyDeleteYour post reminded me of a hilarious blog I ran across...http://pinstrosity.blogspot.com/. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOMG I can soooo relate, yesterday I tried to make the best homemade granola bars ever! Umm they were a crumbly mess but the time they came out of the oven.

Yeah I agree on the Pinterest. But since I like cooking I keep it simple when I pin recipes. The crafty stuff is what makes me all failure feeling. I have not one crafty bone in my body. Not. One. Well my sisters, who GOT the crafting gene let me point out, say that because I can paint ceramics that makes me crafty. I say NOT. I bet that nursery is so peaceful and calming. Shoot I would like that for MY bedroom, minus the crib of course.
ReplyDeleteI get lost forever online looking at recipes there's so much I have yet to try, but your right it is very hard to tell if something is gonna be amazing or bust when it comes to food. That nursery looks so calming I would love my room in that color.
ReplyDeletelove love love this nursery! seriously considering redecorating mine again! Thanks so much for visiting and commenting, you made my day!
