Playroom Storage

I would love for my playroom to look like these, but here's the problem: my kids' toys aren't all cute, little matching wooden toys that look cute sprawled all over the floor. Trust me, I've tried to buy all cute toys, but it just hasn't happened. Obviously, I am obsessed with organization and baskets, so I love the idea of baskets (labeled, of course), but let's be honest...the ugliest toys are also the biggest.  I think the solution is a combination of baskets and built-ins with doors.  Yes, that is my plan to hide toys.  Now to find a solution for the millions of Legos we have.

In the Hot Tub, Sippin' the Bubbly...

...and by bubbly, I mean Crystal Light mixed with Diet Sprite--IF I'm feeling crazy. Poor Miss Stella has had a little bit of a hard time adjusting to the move. Ever since we moved to Utah, she is scared. Of. Everything. This is her list: the jetted tub, the lights in the pool, the fridge alarm, the microwave, the basement, the dark, and smoke alarms, but that one's not new, and it's totally understandable. Plus, she all of a sudden doesn't like milk anymore--like stopped drinking it the night we moved to Utah.

So, we are working on being brave and checking scary things off of our list, which means we bribe reward her with candy. A lot. Thankfully, the jetted tub no longer scares her; although, her baths are pretty speedy, now. It's a good thing, because cleaning the tub is my LEAST favorite job, and I wasn't about to have Jeremy clean two tubs. Anyway, I wanted to post these beautiful bathrooms, and even if they're too scary to use, they sure are pretty.

[color kreyv]: White

It's no secret that I love white. The other day, Stella came into my room and said, "Well, you so-ten-lee (certainly) like white." I love it when my three year old gives her opinion--especially when it's exactly what I want to hear. Then I think to myself, she is so smart and has such good taste for a three year old. But, then, when it's not what I want to hear, I totally disregard it. After all, she's only three.

I Rug You, I Rug You Not

I love rugs. My current dream home consists of wood floors throughout and lots and lots of rugs. I currently have rugs in almost every room, but I had to remove the rug that was living under the dining room table. The reason? Stella Joyal.  I couldn't keep up with the vacuuming, and don't even get me started on the fun of cleaning up rice. I hope to someday, replace the rug in the dining room and add one to the kitchen (love this look), but before I do that, I'm going to have to add yet one more item to my wish list: a central vac system.

Do Not Disturb

I could live in one of these. I love these free standing tubs, and I love taking a nice, hot bath. Of course, those days are long gone. Something about having a two year old and all of her bath toys wanting to join you kind of takes the joy and relaxation out of the situation. Know what I mean?

Take Your Pick

I'm pretty sure I would be happy with any of these kitchens. So, if you were thinking of surprising me, take your pick. I can't wait to see the surprise house that my surprise kitchen is waiting in. Which one is your fave?

[color kreyv]: Periwinkle

I've never been a big purple person, but I have to say, these periwinkle rooms are very beautiful. Plus, isn't it just fun to say periwinkle? Give it a try why dontcha?! I think I like periwinkle, because it has some blue undertones, and blue I can totally do. I absolutely want the quilt in the first picture, which by the way is the home of Brooke Shields. Her entire house is gorgeous. I could move right in! I'm sure she'd just love to have me!

In potty training news, we had a great dayIf I'm stuck home for one more day I might explode, but it was a good day. It will all be worth it. Perhaps I should have done my potty training at Brooke's house, or is that too much for a first visit?

Gimme Some A Dat

Sleep. We need more sleep at our house. I'm so tired that I just want to live in one of these totally gorgeous beds, shut the drapes, and sleep the day away. Is that too much to ask? Meanwhile, Jeremy has had a horrendous schedule this month and just returned from a conference in Chi-Town. He went to bed at 8:00 tonight. He's a little sleepy himself, and don't even get me started on his allergies. Gross, just gross. Dude, take your Zyrtec, or I'm going to have to regulate. Geez, I'm so ghetto when I'm tired.

So, I'm laying in bed watching the Real Housewives of New Jersey Reunion. It's still hard for me to admit that I watch that show, but let's just not hold it against me. Anyway, Jeremy starts talking to me about a balloon pump and a patient somewhere doing something, and he doesn't realize he's talking in his sleep, but he's trying to carry on a conversation with me, but at the same time he really thinks he's rounding at the hospital.  Then, he asks me, "What room did this used to be?" He tried to convince me he wasn't asleep, but he just kept on talking about the hospital. I told him to go back to sleep. Poor boy needs a break! Perhaps he needs one of these beds as well. Oh, did you think I was going to share mine with him? Not when he's talking crazy talk. No way.
