Naked Floors

Naked floors: what are your thoughts? I am typically a rug girl every time. I love the way a rug adds texture and defines a space, BUT the natural fiber rug I had in my living before is the wrong size here. It just doesn't work. Normally, this would be a good excuse to buy a new rug, but we might only be here for a year, and who knows what I'll want next?!  So...rather than buy a square rug that would better fit into the space, I think I'm just going to enjoy the floors...the bare, naked floors. After all, if you remember correctly, I had to have this place for the fabulous floors wonderful Mr. Hubs did give up an extra garage space for the great floors. I might as well enjoy them. Every bit of them.

Stripe Addiction

I love them. I have them on my walls in two different rooms. I have them on hooks. On curtains, frames, and baskets. I would have them on pillows, but I already have them on rugs. I bet you're thinking the same thing as I: I need stripes on my floor.

Beautiful, Beautiful Floors

Are these floors gorgeous OR WHAT?! And, speaking of gorg, I would die for that kitchen in the first picture. All of it, unless that appliance is a coffee maker...I don't drink coffee, but everything else, including the lettuce...I'll take it. I don't know if I would ever dare paint wood floors, but I love the light and dark alternating wood. I would definitely do that.  More accurately, I would pay and/or watch someone else do it.

Oh, how I love white kitchens. I bet if I had a white kitchen with beautiful dark floors and marble countertops, I would cook look twice as good in it.  Just sayin'.

Would you ever?

These floors are absolutely bea-u-ti-ful! But, would you ever dare do that? Maybe in a small space, maybe. On the other hand, it's just paint. If you didn't like it, you could just paint right back over it. Even Nate Berkus himself paints his floors white every few years. He said so himself!
