I Could Live in Here

I must be crazy, a glutton for punishment, or just a mom with a two year old. I'm going to attempt to potty train Stella this week. I'm already lacking confidence. Let me try that again. I WILL potty train Stella this week. Unless she's not having anything to do with it. I know. I'm not sure I'm convinced, either. She is showing signs that, quite honestly, I've ignored for months. Besides a few other signs, she's now starting to take off her diaper, bring it to me, and tell me I need to "change it."  Here we go again. Living in the bathroom. For three days straight, and let me tell you: my bathroom is nothing like these.  Let's get ready to rumble.

  1. i wish you the best. we are going two weeks now with potty training luke and he has only pooped once on the potty. (and that was yesterday) and he woke up this morning all poopy and gross. potty training is the worst part of being a mom. good luck and i hope stella is much more caring how dirty her bum is.

  2. Three day potty training--I swear it works even though it sounds crazy. It was soo worth it and I'll do it when my next one hits the right age. I blogged about it here: www.trustychucks.com/2010/12/i-want-sucker.html

    Good luck!

  3. I'm going on almost 4 months of potty-training Shay. It is so stressful. I need to start Brendyn too, but I can't handle 2 at the same time! GOOD LUCK!!!

  4. My sister paved the way and potty training was a snap. 1st day they sit on the potty every 20min whether they have to go or not and they get a small reward like a sticker. If they "go" they get to have an M&M party. She gave her kids a few. I gave mine a handful and myself a handful. Day 2 every hour. There was no Day 3..they were trained by then. Worked like a charm on both of my kids and several nieces/nephews since. Good luck!
