[so cheap, so easy]: Happy Love Typography

Clever name, right? I know...not my best work. I haven't made anything in for. Eh. Ver. We're in a going to move, don't put any more holes in the wall phase. (That was Mr. Hubs talking, obviously. He can be a party pooper when it comes to putting holes in the wall.) Plus, there's not a lot of walls left in this place, but don't worry, I found the one space in the house that needed a little happy.

I made these super duper easy prints and hung them on the wall together. I kind of love them, and really, the hardest part was finding two frames. I found them at JoAnn's. They are the 12x14 unfinished frames in the craft section, and for some reason, the two stores by my house never had them in stock. So, how did I get two, you ask? Well, I may or may not have unwrapped a gift that was for a friend and used the frame from said gift. Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. I was in the zone.

Anyway...I stained the frames in a dark stain I already had, then I sanded the heck out of the frames, to make them look nice and beat up. I printed the typography onto card stock . The font is called stampete, downloaded from here. I wanted something that looked faded. (If you want these, just let me know. I am happy to email the file to you.) And there you have it. They look better in person, so you'll either have to take my word for it or come visit. Really, I'm fine with either. Just call first.

  9. Well I am glad you are a rebel. My husband doesn't want any holes in the wall. I just do it when he's not home. The frames turned out great. I'm sure your friend will understand your dilemma. I am stopping by from Friendship Friday.
